  • Boarding

    Prices vary depending on size and breed, please contact us for a detailed quote, but as a guide:

    Dogs are from £240 per month
    Cats are from £210 per month

    Discount is available for pets sharing (same breed). They must belong to the same owner. Discount is also available for full payment in advance.

  • Travel/transport
    We are an authorised carrying agent and can collect your pet(s) from all authorised airports/ports. Prices will vary depending on location.

    You will also be charged Air/port fees which are difficult to quantify but will be in the region of £100.00 at Heathrow using British Airways (BA).

    Pet handling at airports - some airlines do not have a licensed collection vehicle or holding facilities and have to sub-contract to the airport for these services. Additional costs will be incurred for this.

  • Local animal authorities abroad, and the carrying agent.
    It is important to check with local animal health authorities and the carrying agent for any export requirements for your pets - authorisation, health checks and any necessary paperwork. Some countries/carriers have specific requirements, which may be onerous.

  • Heating
    There is a central heating system, with a radiator in each kennel/cat pen.
    Heating is charged at £8 per week from 1 October to 30 April (and at other times depending on the British weather).

  • Veterinary fees
    On arrival your pet receives a multi-vaccination as required.
    Should there be a need to administer treatment to your pet during their stay, the veterinary fees will be charged to you prior to the departure of your pet.
    We can provide a micro-chip for your pet if you wish to arrange for a Pet Passport. This is charged separately.

  • Special or supplementary diets (if allowed)
    An extra charge would be made for special diets requested outside the extensive range on offer.

  • Grooming
    Basic grooming is an important part of the service at Precious Pets and is included in the price, dogs are bathed as required.
    For cats and dogs that require more intensive or specialist grooming - we offer this service from our own trained staff at an extra cost.

  • Other charges
    • Airport/airline fees/charges.
    • Quarantine services at the airport - either for a Ministry licensed collection vehicle for transferring animals to their animal holding facility and/or if the carrier does not have an animal holding facility the animal will be held at the airport Animal Quarantine Station.
    • Additional charges made for collections & customs out of hours, weekends and bank holidays
    • Heating if required.
    • Any additional vet charges in the unlikely event that your pet is unwell or requires treatment. Minor surgery can be undertaken here at Precious Pets.
    • Courier services if used.
    • Special grooming.
    • If you are bringing an animal into the UK from outside the European Union, you should be aware that H M Customs and Excise may charge duty on the value of your animal and, under certain circumstances, the cost of the freight.

  • Payment terms:
    • We are able to take payment on virtually all credit/debit cards e.g. Visa, Delta, Mastercard, Switch. We accept personal or company cheques and cash. Sorry, we do not accept American Express.
    • When you decide to book with us we require a £250.00 deposit per pen in advance to secure your pets accommodation (this is non-refundable).
    • Prior to your pet arriving you will be required to make an advance boarding payment plus vaccinations, collection, airport fees, and the relevant VAT. Your quote will outline these details.
    • Thereafter the rest of the boarding will be spread over five equal monthly payments, the second payable one month after your pets arrival.
    • We will send an invoice when your pets arrive to confirm payments and payment dates.
    • Please let us know how you would like to make your payments.
    • The final invoice will be sent just before completion of the quarantine period. Your final invoice will include items such as heating, veterinary costs and grooming if necessary.
