Set in a secluded valley on the edge of the picturesque Royal Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire, Precious Pets is thoroughly sheltered and surrounded by woodland. Committed to the care, welfare and happiness of your pets, all our staff take personal pride in keeping your pet healthy and in good spirits. We are reassuring and friendly and staff will help your pet to settle and they soon get to know us.

Substantially larger than the minimum recommendations, our fully licensed kennels and cattery are built to a high standard and offer views over the valley. Security is important - all pens are securely locked at night and there is always a  24-hour presence on site.

We pride ourselves on high standards of hygiene at Precious Pets and all kennels and pens are thoroughly disinfected between the guests and are cleaned at least once every day. An experienced local vet visits us each day.

Medical treatments and procedures can be undertaken during your pet's stay by the vets at the practice that are attached to our kennels, please ask if you would like more information. We are also able to care for pets that are still recovering while you are away.

All prospective clients or their representatives are welcome to inspect our kennels and cattery prior to making a booking.

We are open from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Saturday, and between 11am - 12 midday and 3pm - 4pm on Sunday for arrival and/or collection. Out of hours visits can be arranged.

We cater for long or short stays, but please be advised that in summer in particular we are booked up very early.

As a rule our rates are £6.50 per day for a cat, £8 per day for small dogs, £10 per day for medium to large dogs. Discounts are available for 2 or more pets sharing (from the same household). Please call for a quotation.

When you make a booking we will ask you about your pet(s) temperament, diet, likes & dislikes and about any special treatment or medication they require.
